Cosmopolitan Awards 2008 saw loads of Bollywood celebs in attendance Bipasha Basu,Ranbir Kapoor, Shahrukh Khan, Sushmita Sen these were awards organised by cosmopolitan magazine - the fun and fearless female awards 2008. Bipasha Basu won the award for the most fearless actress. Ranbir Kapoor bagged the award for the most fun actor. Shahrukh Khan won the award for the most fearless male actor. Sania Mirza won the award for the most fearless sportswoman and Deepika Padukone for the most fun and fearless upcoming actor.

Hrithik Roshan and Barbara Mori loose their inhibitions during the shooting of upcoming film Kites and in more ways than one. It was kissing as well as shooting high in the air in a hot air balloon. I understand that while shooting for a tough and dangerous action sequence in Santa Fe, Babara Mori made her co-star Hrithik Roshan shed his inhibitions to express love in one of its natural manifestations, the kiss.
Hrithik confirmed this with matter-of-fact directness and said, “We were both supposed to jump off from a rooftop at an impossible height. Before we did so director Anurag Basu suggested that I kiss Barbara since we were doing something death-defying and dangerous.
I kissed her on her cheek to which she turned around to ask, ‘Given the same situation with your wife Susanne would you kiss her on the cheek?’ I was floored by her logic. The scene was reshot and I kissed her the way real-life couples would in the situation.”
An amused Hrithik added, “Is kissing such a big deal? Hasn’t our cinema grown up? There are kissing scenes in Kites but nothing to make me squirm. I’d be more than happy watching those scenes with my wife, son and parents.”
Emphasising the need to look at lip-locking in Bollywood rationally Hrithik argued, “Kites is a love story about people in love. How do people in love express their feelings? Barbara made me realise how silly we look on screen while shying away from expressing love naturally.”
Kites has a long and final schedule in Mumbai, “I first shoot with Kangana Ranaut and then Barbara will join us in January,” Hrithik signed off.

While surfing the net recently I read that actor Akshay Kumar slapped a fan during Big Boss 2 Grand Finale. the incident actually took place apparently as Akshay Kumar was leaving and all his fans crowded his car making it difficult for him to leave. Apparently fans of Raja who wanted hom to win also made a ruckus and pelted stones breaking windows and glasspanes. It was said that Akshay Kumar slapped one of the fans mobbing his car.

I mean I always hear about how this Hollywood star donated this to charity,so and so Hollywood star raised so much money for AIDs and Brangelina adopted so many kids from third world countries to give them opportunities but never have I heard Bollywood celebrities doing something ( by donating large scale money for helping the needy and poor or deprived). This is even though our superstar celebs are paid equal or more ( in some cases ) than their Hollywood counterparts. Camera appearances have many present but when it comes to down to putting down hard cash in quantity many disappear. Anyway here is a refreshing change with Hrithik Roshan inaugurating a Mumbai hospital called Nanavati Hospital's 'Electrophysiology and Electroacoustic Speech Therapy Department' built in memory of his grandmother Late Smt. Ira Roshan. Way to go Hrithik. I hope others follow suit.

Bipasha Basu is in Kashmir shooting for Rahul Dholakia's Lamhaa but huge crowds and marriage proposals are getting in the way of her work. A unit member from Lamhaa says, "Bipasha is one of the biggest crowd pullers we've ever seen. She's been shooting in strife-torn Srinagar for the last two weeks and wherever she goes sex appeal draws huge crowds."
Local cops and BSF personnel are providing security for the shoot, and accompany the actress and the crew everywhere. On one such occasion, one of the cops covering the shoot got so smitten by Bip's persona that he walked up to her and proposed in front of the cast and crew!"
The source adds that Bipasha was stunned. "Initially, she was flustered. Though Bipasha is used to men getting over-enthusiastic around her; normally, boyfriend John Abraham is around to handle awkward situations. This time, Bipasha had to deal with it herself. After her initial hesitation, she turned to him and politely but very firmly turned down his proposal.
She told the guy that John was in her life and they both loved each other very much." The guy stood there bemused till the unit's security staff took him away.

The storyline and plot of Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi has apparently been leaked although Yashraj studio has not confirmed the report and Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi's story is a romantic story about Shahrukh Khan ( an older man) married to Anoushka( a younger bride). There is a big age difference between them and are trying to create romance when there is no real romance in teir marriage. Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi is the name of a reality dance show on TV like Nach Baliye and the young wife ( Anoushka) wants to participate but cant as her husband is boring and old. Her friends are taking part in the reality show but she fears that if she is seen dancing wih him she will be a joke amongst her friends. So her oldr husband ( Shahrukh Khan) decides to go in for a makeover to look younger and comes back to woo his wife and throughout the dancing competition she keeps falling deeper in love with a man not realizing he is her same old husband.

HindustanCafe has reported that Salman Khan asks for Rs.50 crores for next film for a movie with producer Ramesh Taurani of Tips. Ramesh Taurani wants to make a remake of Amar, Akbar Anthony with Salman Khan and hos brother Sohail and Arbaaz and that Salman Khan has asked for Rs.50 crores for this project.

Invariably the scripts glorify the hero while the heroine is the love interest. And the women-oriented films are half-baked attempts at feminist statements. Both to me are uninspiring,' Lara told IANS in an interview.
So will she take to direction as well?
'No I'm not ready to direct yet. And I can't wait to start my film. I've done two drafts. And I think it needs one more draft, then I'm ready,' she said.
But, interestingly, Lara hasn't written a woman-oriented film.
'It has equal space for the male and female protagonists. It's not one of those feminist, in-your-face women's films. The male lead will have a lot to contribute to my film.'
And, yes, Lara will produce the film. 'We start soon. It will be a very commercial film. And I can't wait.'
The former Miss Universe refused to reveal if Dino Morea, with whom she is linked, will play the lead in her film.
Asked when she found the time to write, Lara said: 'I've always been a writer. I didn't have time to write earlier. Now what I do is in-between shots, instead of chatting or sleeping, I write my script. Now I can't write unless I've noise all around me.'

Bipasha left the sets, packed her bags and left for Mumbai after shooting for less than a week. What’s more troubling is that she left Kashmir on the day her co-star Sanjay Dutt arrived in Srinagar for the shoot. Speaking hours after the incident director Rahul Dholakia was in a daze in Srinagar. “I don’t understand what happened. Something freaked Bipasha out. I don’t know what it is. She gave me no explanation before flying back to Mumbai beyond saying, ‘You won’t understand, you’re not a woman.’

It is being gossiped that Aamir Khan's Ghajini is based on the Hollywood movie Memento.
Memento is one of Hollywoods top groseesr and was Chris Nolan ( The Dark Knights) directors first movie.
Memento is a psychological thriller film written and directed by Christopher Nolan, adapted from his brother Jonathan's short story "Memento Mori." It stars Guy Pearce as Leonard Shelby, a former insurance fraud investigator searching for the man he believes raped and killed his wife during a burglary. Leonard suffers from anterograde amnesia, which he contracted from severe head trauma during the attack on his wife. This renders his brain unable to store new memories. To cope with his condition, he maintains a system of notes, photographs, and tattoos to record information about himself and others, including his wife's killer. He is aided in his investigation by Teddy (Joe Pantoliano) and Natalie (Carrie-Anne Moss), neither of whom he can trust.

Neha Dhupia and Mandira Bedi's catfight caused a drama tamasha at TV Show Hasee Aur Hassena. Neha was upset as she felt that her saree was strikingly similar to that of Mandira’s. Apparently both Mandira and Neha were given red sarees, whereas Tanushree had to wear a yellow salwar kameez. When Neha realised that her and Mandira’s sarees were similar, she refused to wear it and insisted on being given another saree. When the channel authorities refused, she walked off the sets in a huff, shut herself up in her vanity van and refused to shoot. The channel and the production team tried persuading Neha to wear the saree, but Neha refused and suggested the option of wearing a western outfit, which she had with her. However, the channel refused to budge and decided to stick with the concept of traditional wear, because the episode had to be aired on Diwali. After much coaxing, Neha agreed to wear the saree.
