Madhuri Dixit and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to perform together for the Unforgettable Bachchan clan Tour
The Unforgettable Tour of the Bachchans is scheduled to start from July 18 and promises to be quite a show, now that Madhuri has also agreed to be part of it.
Both she and Aishwarya will be seen performing on the famous Dola re number from Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Devdas. A source says, “After Akshay Kumar agreed to be part of the tour for some shows, Madhuri also gave her nod. Aishwarya and Abhishek have already begun rehearsing for the show and are quite excited about it. Madhuri is meanwhile rehearsing for the songs as well.
Both Madhuri and Aishwarya who set the screen on fire will be seen performing for the first ever time together on stage with Dola re. Madhuri will be a guest performer in the show for select cities just like Akshay Kumar. The entire Bachchan family is eager to perform on the Kajra re number as well.” Preity Zinta and Riteish Deshmukh are the other performers apart from the Bachchans.

Sanjay Dutt's Money Woes

The Income-Tax department has ascertained in a recent valuation report that he owes them over Rs 50 crore in capital gains tax arrears.
The actor - who earns around Rs 2 crore per film - has allegedly refused to pay capital gains tax (payable on income accruing from sale of property) for years on the sale of nine flats he owned in the Imperial Heights building at Pali Hill, Bandra, brushing aside several reminders sent to him by the I-T department.
According to sources in the I-T department, the taxes have now piled up to over Rs 50 crore, which includes interest and penalties since the building was completed and became ready for possession around five years ago.
The lump-sum amount Dutt got from the builders - Lokhandwala Construction - is also taxable.
Imperial Heights is an 11-storey building which was developed by Lokhandwala Construction on the plot where the late Sunil Dutt had a bungalow.
This is an old photo.

Preity Zinta's Ideal Sunday Breakfast
Preity Zinta's ideal Sunday breakfast is ....... you wont believe it ..... usually includes aloo parathas and malai. Glad to see someone in Bollywood does not want to become anorexic to be a size zero.
She has said this in an interview while stating - "...(Yes, you heard right and to hell with the calories!) I simply love this combination. And I believe Sunday is the day to binge. Add to that… kadhi-chawal for lunch, and my Sunday is made."

Sarkar Raj Mumbai release in trouble

Sarkar Raj ( triple Bachhan starrer) has run into trouble. Raju Shah, a film financier, has filed a complaint with the Indian Motion Pictures Distribution Association (IMPDA) saying K Sera Sera, co-producers of the film, owe him money. The association has ruled in Shah's favour. The film may now have a problem being released in the Mumbai territory, its main market. Shah filed a complaint claiming that K Sera Sera, co-producers of Sarkar Raj, had borrowed Rs 2 crore from his company at the time of the making of Chal Chala Chal and the Bobby Deol-starrer Ek and has not yet returned the money. At a meeting held at the IMPDA office last week, a decision was taken that K Sera Sera will have to clear the amount or the film would not be registered on the distributor's name (Raksha Distributors in this case). "They will have to clear the amount or the film will not be registered in the distributors' name which will mean that the film may not release in Mumbai territory," said a member of IMPDA who was present at the meeting.

Shah Rukh Khan digging his nose at IPL ?

Heres another great photo from the same site http://www.dubbagol.com/Entertainment/Shah_Rukh_Khans_nose_dig/ It really does look like Shah Raukh is digging his nose....but I am sure he is very careful in front of the cameras ( he does not strike me as the negligent type) and this is actually him making a face at the anti corruption officials over his ejection from the dug out at a recent cricket IPL match.

Isabel Kaif ( Katrina Kaif's sister) with Ritesh Deshmukh
I saw this really interesting photo at http://www.dubbagol.com/Entertainment/Katrina_Kaifs_sister_Isabel_Kaif_with_Ritesh_Deshmukh_-1/ which is one of my favoourites because it has such great Bollywood news, scandals and photos. It was a photo of Isabel Kaif ( Katrina Kaif's little sister) and Ritesh Deshmukh at the Zee Cine Awards 2008 night. It was not that they were sitting next to each other ...but how close that their arms and shoulders were touching cosily...Is this an item couple no one has noticed ?

Soha Ali Khan On Maxim India Magazine Cover May 2008

Soha Ali Khan is Maxim India's Covergirl for the May 2008 issue of the magazine. In an interview with Maxim she says -
It is tough finding smarter men but what’s tougher is pretending the men you’ve found are smarter than you. I think women were born with an innate ability to achieve this illusion and it’s the secret to many a happy marriage, I’m sure.

Amitabh Bachhan makes peace with ShahRukh Khan on his blog

Amitabh Bachchan has finally made peace with ShahRukh Khan in Big B's blogpost made on 15th may 2008 ( apparently posted from Cannes). Its almost like America and Russia denying that the cold war existed !! Anyway, Big B writes -
But today I wish to address an issue that has been played out for months and one that perturbs me no end. It is the matter of my relationship with Shah Rukh.
Despite numerous clarifications and denials from both Shah Rukh and myself through the electronic and the print medium there seems to be no letting up. It is hurtful and unwanted and I wish to bring with all sincerity a final end to this much imagined ugliness.
So I shall start with myself first.
If there has been, for any reason whatsoever, a lapse or error on my part I wish to apologize for it right here and now. If any expression or opinion of mine, deemed or otherwise towards Shah Rukh has been the cause for any grievance then I am sorry for it. I have never deliberately or with any false intent ever meant or said anything towards him, or indeed any colleague or member of my fraternity in my 40 years as a professional. It is not my nature and does not fall within the confines of my upbringing. I am filled with remorse if some have felt otherwise. I would wish that this plea of mine coming directly from me be given its due merit of forgiveness.
Shah Rukh has been and is a friend and a wonderful colleague. He has never ever crossed that very delicate line between familiarity and respect. On occasion I may have desired a little more of the former, but the difference in our age has perhaps been a barrier. He has never failed to reciprocate affection that has come from me and hopefully neither have I. Despite his exalted position and authority he has always acknowledged my existence however diminished or insignificant it may now be. He has always shown great affection for Abhishek and given him elder brotherly advice voluntarily. Having worked together with Jaya the two share a very warm mother-son relationship reciprocated in equal measure from both. His closest friends are our common friends and are like family to us - Yashji, Karan Johar’s late father and Yashji, Adi Chopra’s father. Gauri his wife has always displayed great warmth and hospitality. Members of his close circle are also sincere friends with my daughter Shweta and her children.
Shah Rukh knows as do I that if there were to be a need for any clarification on either part, we would pick up the phone and talk to each other or walk across to either home and meet and resolve. If we have not on this occasion ( actually we have never had any occasion ) then it has shown how insignificant and unnecessary the occasion has been.
There are well wishers on both our sides, committed and passionate. If they are upset for something that I may have done or not done it is deeply regretted. I have never shirked the responsibility of an error nor shied away from correcting a fault. Forgive my errors if any I pray and allow me the intent of correction.
Well ShahRukh do forgive him. You need loads of powerful friends right now given all the legal cases that have been filed against you lately there is someone out there gunning for you !!

Kim Sharma given US$20.00 for loss of her expensive luggage

Kim Sharma has sworn never to travel by Emirates Airlines again. She claims she lost belongings worth a lakh while the airlines claim Kim had declared only a quarter of the amount.
Says Kim, “I was travelling from Dubai to Mumbai on May 12 on Emirates Airlines when my suitcase got lost in transit at the Mumbai international airport. After listing everything in it, the baggage service staff of Emirates told me the suitcase would be returned to me within 24 hours. I had attended an event and was carrying a lot of expensive stuff in it.”
Kim says that her suitcase contained two Louis Vuitton clutch purses, three pairs of designer shoes, a couple of expensive saris, two pairs of Gucci glares and medicines worth Rs 15000, “The medicines were for a friend to quit smoking and that’s why they were expensive,” she reveals.
The airlines delivered the suitcase but it was almost empty! “The only things that remained were the pajamas and books I had carried to read on the journey.” Even her phone charger was gone. The actress says that she’d locked her suitcase in Dubai but even that was missing!
Kim called up the airline’s office in Mumbai and asked for the baggage services line. They took down a full inventory of my suitcase again. Kim continues, “A few hours later, a girl called Rashmi called to tell me that they were ready to compensate me $20 for the stuff that I had lost. I won’t travel with them again!” fumes the actress.

ShahRukh Khan's reaction to Aamir's Khan's blog

Superstar Shah Rukh Khan said he is not ruffled and that he is taking it in the right spirit.
This was his reaction to Aamir's latest blogpost talks about his pet dog "Shah Rukh" at his home in Panchgani. When his reaction was sought to Aamir's blog, Sharukh said on Thursday he is not bothered and that he was taking it in the spirit.
"I have never bothered about it because I also say a lot of things in fun and I think I am also may be stressing somebody else out.
I don't get stressed when friends pass comments like this. Actually I enjoyed it," Shah Rukh said.
This is not the first time that Aamir has taken a shot at Shah Rukh. A few months back he had said at an event "I would like to ask Shah Rukh how it feels to be number two."
Though Aamir claims there is no motive in his latest blogpost about his dog it has evoked criticism from the blog readers.

Aamir Khan insults ShahRukh Khan on his blog

Is this competition or what ?
Aamir Khan on his blog dated 13th May says:"I'm sitting under a tree, on the edge of a valley, approximately 5000 feet above sea level. The river Krishna flows far below us snaking its way among the Sahyadri mountains. A cool breeze is blowing, jannat ki hawa (breeze from the heavens), as my mother calls it. Ammi, Ira and Junaid are by my side and we are in the middle of one of our favourite board games 'Settlers Of Catan'. Shahrukh is licking my feet and I am feeding him biscuits every now and then. What more can I ask for?
Now, before you jump to any conclusions let me add that Shahrukh is the name of our dog. And before you jump to any further conclusions let me add that I had nothing to do with naming him. In fact Shah Rukh is the dog of the caretakers of our house. When I bought this house it came with the caretakers and their dog! Apparently Shahrukh (the actor) was shooting for a commercial in this house a few years ago, and that very day the caretakers bought a pup…, and named him Shahrukh. What are the chances of me buying a house which comes with a dog called Shahrukh!!!
Some of my friends claim that I bought the house just because of the dog. I would have to be a serious fan of Shahrukh's to want to do that. Your guess…
All I can say is I'm waiting for him to come over."
Aamir ends his blog by saying, "Well Shahrukh is once again begging for my attention, so let me get back to him. He is smelling too much, I think he needs a bath. "Heel boy, heel."

Parents OK Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan relationship

Both Sharmila and MAK Pataudi seem to have given an okay to Saif’s relationship with Kareena. It’s not just Chote Nawab who is madly in love with Bebo, his parents are in sync with his choice too. “I have met Kareena and I think she and Saif are very good together and they have all my good wishes. In fact, MAK is very fond of her too,” Sharmila Tagore yesteryear actress and Saif's mom, smiles. But what is it that she really likes about her? “A lot of things. She is a fantastic actress, youthful and full of life. I like her vivaciousness too,” answers Sharmila.

Jiah Khan And Aamir Khan
Says Jiah Khan
“I was just growing up and losing baby fat,” insists Jiah Khan, coming out of her self-imposed exile. The grapevine insists Jiah Khan lost so much weight recently that Aamir Khan personally requested her to put on weight for their film together in Ghajini.
“I did want to be fitter. But I guess people in Bollywood don’t like that look. Not that I was trying to be fashionably thin. But the kind of clothes that are now stepping into our film industry — very Milan, very Paris — you’ve to have a certain kind of lean physique. We’re getting more and more into labels.
But my characters in my two forthcoming films are very conventional. So I had to put on weight to play them. And I’m looking… balanced!”
Jiah admits weight has been a problem. “I had always been plump. I started exercising since 16. Then there was a lot of pressure in the film industry to lose weight, and it did get to me. Every actress feels there’s a little too much fat, no matter how thin she is. But I’m now mature enough to know what’s good for my health.”
Aamir, who toned himself for Ghajini, asked Jiah to put on weight. “Yes, he did. And when people see us together, they’re going to be like, ‘Wow!’”
What about rumours that Jiah and Aamir spend a lot of time together on the sets? “What?! I thought there was a rumour that I was his sister. Socially, I’ve met him twice. Once for the audition and again recently to discuss my clothes. I don’t know him that well.

Sanjay Dutt and Manyata do not have Sex

“Sanjay Dutt was not aware of Manayata’s first marriage,” argued Dutt’s counsel during the hearing of the appeal over the order by the Metropolitan court in the bigamy and adultery case in the sessions court yesterday.
Though Dutt’s counsel found a way out for the actor, they were unable to provide justified reasoning over the same charges levied against Manayata. Srikant Shivde also argued that though they are living together, they were not having sexual intercourse. This, he said, implied that the two were not bigamists.
The couple has been charged with adultry, bigamy and concealing Manayata’s earlier marriage to Mairaj Rehman, as per a case filed by him.
Said Shivde, “The charge of adultry cannot be applied on Manayata, as, according to law, a woman cannot commit adultery.”
In the case of bigamy, the aggrieved party should be the second husband/wife and not the former (like Mairaj), Shivde argued before judge S N Sardesai.
